Ingrown Toenail
An ingrown toenail develops when the sides of the toenail have grown into the surrounding skin. You can experience symptoms such as pain, tenderness and swelling in your toe.
The most common Causes of ingrown toenails are:
- Certain shape of the nails such as Fan shaped nails, involuted nails.
- Ill-fitting shoes (wearing incorrect size shoes-too small short or tight shoes)
- Trauma
- Incorrectly cutting toenails
- Picking pr peeing your toenails
