Verrutop is a highly effective wart treatment for children, offering a painless and simple solution that’s easier and more comfortable than many standard methods. With its quick application and convenient twice-monthly treatment schedule, Verrutop provides a stress-free experience for both children and parents while delivering reliable results.
What Happens in a Treatment?
- The podiatrist first prepares the skin, then uses a fine capillary applicator to place the Verrutop solution directly onto each verrucae.
- Once applied, the formula triggers a chemical reaction within the wart tissue, causing the wart to dehydrate and the infected cells to break down.
- The wart typically changes colour — turning white, grey or yellowish — as part of the “mummification” process.
What Happens After Treatment?
- Between appointments, patients are asked to apply surgical spirit to the treated area twice daily — this helps speed up the wart’s dehydration.
- Over time (usually across 3–6 sessions, spaced 2 weeks apart), the wart dries out completely and detaches naturally, leaving healthy skin behind.
